
The Texas Gulf Coast Center for Excellence serves the Industrial Training & Assessment Centers within its regional states. The center functions as a hub for coordination among regional ITACs, stakeholders, state energy offices, manufacturers, and the current and future industrial workforce. As a leader in remote and hybrid assessments, Texas A&M accelerates the ITAC network’s emphasis on industrial efficiency, fiscal and energy resource management, and promotion of competitive manufacturing practices.
The Gulf Coast Regional Center of Excellence focuses on the development and deployment of smart assessment technologies, including sensing devices, intelligent diagnostic software, and virtual tools to enhance energy assessments. Additionally, the center supports Industrial Training & Assessment Centers in the Gulf Coast region through the creation of training, curriculum, and energy analysis tools. These curriculum and training materials include a variety of formats that are disseminated broadly and made easily accessible.
